Checking source quality is not optional when the stakes are a client deliverable, an investment memo, or a public statement.
  • Do the claims hold under scrutiny? A draft can be internally consistent and still wrong. Running the same question through independent analysis surfaces the places where the logic is thin or the evidence does not support the conclusion.
  • Where is the disagreement? When multiple independent models reach different conclusions on the same material, that disagreement is informative. It shows which claims are well-supported and which are contested, so reviewers can focus their attention on the right places.
  • Who confirmed this was ready? A review without a named sign-off is an informal read-through. Named supervisor approval creates accountability and produces the record that proves review happened.

Building the review step in structurally
