A lot of professional AI use does not happen inside a formal workflow. It happens in chat histories. Someone asks an AI tool to summarise a document. The difference between informal AI use and governed AI use is not the tool being used. It is whether the process is visible to the organisation, not just the individual who ran the prompt.
